1 lb. ground chuck
1 red onion (chopped)
5 medium sized potatoes (peeled and cut into quarters)
5 oz. butter
1 can peas
1 can corn
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup sour cream or milk
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp. brown gravy mix
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Optional: 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Put 1 oz. butter, 1/4 cup water, chopped onion and ground chuck in a large skillet and brown. Add ketchup to browned meat.
In a separate pot, add water and potatoes. Bring water to a boil. Cook Potatoes and drain water. Add milk or sour cream and butter to the potatoes and mash.
Take two dessert spoons of cornstarch and two dessert spoons of gravy powder and mix. Add water and stir. Add to the meat to thicken. Stir in vegetables (Carrots, Peas, Corn).
In a separate 8''x 8'' baking dish, add ingredients (in this order): meat mixed with vegetables then potatoes.
Optional: Add cheese to top of baking dish components, place in the oven at 350 degrees for an additional ten minutes.
