According to senior living experts here are some top signs that our parents may need help:
Adult children often delay ‘the talk’ as long as possible. It is an uncomfortable conversation to begin, but it is vital. If you are not looking out for your parents best interest, who is? Most parents are not going to raise the “White Flag” and say they need help. They won’t roll out the red carpet in appreciation. The emotions your parent is experiencing is understandable. They are scared, confused and angry. They may not want the help, nor accept it - but it doesn’t mean you should give up. No one likes to have their freedom taken away from them. Reassure them that they are still in control and start out gradual if able. Protect them, like they protected you when you were little.
